Please feel free to contact me.

I strongly believe in creating an inclusive atmosphere and fostering diversity in academia. This requires inhabiting this attitude in all aspects of being a scientist: teaching, mentoring, and research. As a teacher, I work to make an inclusive classroom environment. As a mentor, I strive to help students overcome any barriers, believe in themselves, and attain their potential. As a researcher, I am happy to provide copies of any of my papers, I regularly do outreach to communicate my results, and I am working to involve undergraduates as much as possible.

I am an associate professor at Northeastern Illinois University in the Department of Biology. I was a postdoctoral researcher at Pennsylvania State University and Texas A&M University after getting my Ph.D. at Dartmouth College.
